Last updated: February 17, 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ContextForge ("the Service"), operated by ContextForge ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ContextForge is a persistent memory and knowledge management system for AI-powered development. The Service provides tools for storing, organizing, and retrieving contextual knowledge through MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations, a web dashboard, and API access.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials and API keys
  • Promptly notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Store or transmit malicious code, malware, or harmful content
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
  • Use the Service to store sensitive personal data such as social security numbers, financial account numbers, or health records unless your plan explicitly supports it
  • Exceed rate limits or abuse API access in a way that degrades the Service for other users

5. Subscription Plans and Billing

The Service offers Free, Pro, and Premium subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree that:

  • Charges are recurring and will be billed at the start of each billing cycle
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at our discretion
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days advance notice
  • Downgrading your plan may result in loss of access to features or data that exceed the lower plan's limits

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you store in the Service ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit Your Content solely to provide the Service to you. We will not:

  • Sell or share Your Content with third parties
  • Use Your Content for training AI models
  • Access Your Content except as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law

7. API Keys and Security

API keys are provided for programmatic access to the Service. You are responsible for keeping your API keys confidential. All API keys are hashed before storage using SHA-256. If you believe an API key has been compromised, revoke it immediately through the dashboard. We are not liable for unauthorized access resulting from compromised credentials.

8. Collaboration and Shared Access

When you invite collaborators to your projects, you grant them access to the shared project's spaces, knowledge items, and tasks as determined by their role permissions. You are responsible for managing access to your projects and revoking invitations when appropriate.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned downtime.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you may request an export of Your Content within 30 days. After that period, Your Content may be permanently deleted.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ContextForge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Contact

If you have questions about these Terms, please contact us at support@contextforge.com.
